Name: Cinderstar
Age: 45 moons
Desired Position: Leader of Stormclan
Appearance: Silver tabby fur models itself on the average sized frame of Cinderstar. The colour blends nicely with darker silver and snow white in some areas, such as her underbelly, which is coloured as pure a white as you can find. Unfortunately, her fluffy fur is marred by a few scars, including one that stretches along the length of her tail, in a perfectly straight line, ending at the very tip. While another scar rests as an eyebrow over her crystal blue eye parallel to her ivy green eye. While some cats are built for speed, others built for fighting, she's built for neither, Cinderstar is more built for tracking and hiding. She has speed, yes, but she can hide in small places because she's so flexible, and she is silent and light enough that she can follow others without them ever noticing, simply because of her weight and build. But her claws are still a foe that you don't want to meet on bad terms.
Personality: As implied in her appearance, Cinderstar is shady by nature, not much is known about her because she mostly keeps to herself and a small circle of those she trusts. But she is fiercely loyal to her Clan , and would do anything for them. But she is shy, yes, you heard me, shy. She isn't one to just walk up to a loner and introduce herself, but she will go straight to anyone if they're hurt, despite Clans or titles. Willing to do almost anything that is needed, that was the reason Sootstar was selected as leader, she is willing to do what is needed and she'll do it well.
Some of the cats in the Clans look up to her because of her ability to stay calm through anything, but others worry that she won't give the necessary response when something truly bad happens and she doesn't panic. Infact, that's one of her flaws, she is too calm. But, her calm finesse is simply something that is visible on the outside generally, when it comes to any mention of her family, her inward reaction is completely different.
History: The warm breeze of Greenleaf blew through the open entrance to the nursery. Curled against a small bangle she-cat were two kittens. One brown, the other silvery white. A large tabby tom stood over the small group, watching with bright gold eyes, taking in every motion. To anyone, he would have looked protective, but the bangle queen new better, he was watching them so that they didn't run. She hated the tom who had tricked her into barring his kits, and she wasn't going to let him get near them, even if it cost her her life. And she knew that Fleetwind hated her as well, but he was greedy.
When the kits reached the age of three months, Fleetwind tried to take the two kits, he achieved it too, stole them away into a hard to reach part of the territory, because they couldn't swim through the lake, they had to hide on the very edge of the island. He attempted to train Cinderkit and her brother, Willowkit, but was met by a cold resistance from both of them. So he fought them, almost killed Cinderkit, injured Willowkit pretty badly, but he still made them train. Cinderkit was stubborn, she didn't want to learn how to fight, she wanted to be with her mother, curled up in the den, but she knew that wasn't going to happen. She went from having a kindred spirit to not flinching even when the tom was hurtling himself towards her, claws out. All in the span of two moons. Willowkit, on the other hand, would fight back, flinching at the words that his father called him, but never backing down. But, one night after a tense training session, a patrol found them collapsed on their little nests, at first, they thought they were loner kittens, but then, one of the warriors recognized them, and they were escorted back to the camp where they were immediately sent to the medicine cat's den.
Cinderkit thought that their mother would be happy to see the both of them back in the camp alive, but she just saw Willowkit, and wouldn't leave his side, didn't even acknowledge the silver she-kit. But, by the time they were six moons of age, they were able to be apprenticed, and her mother forgot about her all the more.
She was pared with a sweet she-cat, one who had been on the patrol that had found her and Willowpaw on the beach. She had taken an interest in Cinderpaw ever since they'd been brought back to camp, mainly because she'd seen the reaction from her mother. She'd gone to the leader and requested that she be her mentor. She trained Cinderpaw much differently than her father had, she was patient with her, and never used brute force, and if something was too difficult for her, she'd break it down step by step, Cinderpaw looked up to her mentor like she was the greatest cat on earth.
But towards the last moon of her training, two things happened that tore her life appart. The first was that while Cinderpaw and Sandstream were training one day, Sandstream ordered Cinderpaw to hide, quick and well. She did, but she didn't know why she was, until she heard a voice that made her go straight into her shell. Fleetwind had found them. He started talking to Sandstream, just talking to her, but asking questions about Cinderpaw and Willowpaw, but Sandstream wouldn't tell him anything, and in the end, that was the wonderful warrior's downfall. The vicious tom stole her life with a single swipe of his claw, and then turned towards where Cinderpaw was hiding, but he didn't see her, Sandstream had trained her to hide, made it her strength, that and tracking, no one would know she was there, but for some reason, she felt unsettled by the fact that he seemed to know she was here. It didn't take long, though, for him to decide otherwise and he slipped back into the dark forest, not bothered by the blood of Sandstream on his claws.
Cinderpaw on the otherhand was devistated. She alone pulled the wonderful warrior's body back to the camp and sat vigil with her, but wasn't given a second look by her mother who knew instantly who had killed her, she just went off to find Willowpaw, to make sure he was safe. But, Willowpaw was right by Cinderpaw's side, being the best friend and brother that he was.
The night of Willowpaw and her warrior ceremonies, they were sent out hunting, to make sure that they were at the prime of their training. If they brought back a good catch, they would become warriors at sunset. But, they were right on the shoreline, and something caught Willowpaw's eye, a fish or something, he made his way out into the shallows of the lake to catch it, but the ground slipped out from under his paws, and before Cinderpaw could even react, he was gone. Gone forever. And this time, she couldn't even bring his body back to the camp.
She did the only thing she could do, she screamed. Screamed at StarClan for ruining her life, screamed at her father, wherever he may be, screamed at herself for not being able to do anything. But by then, she was too far gone, she no longer flinched at anything, she didn't panic whenever something went wrong, she closed herself off from the world. But she still went back to the camp, catch and news with her.
But the leader saw something in her when selecting her warrior name, saw hope, saw love, saw the desire to have her life changed, and from that, she got her name. Cinderflower.
Cinderflower grieved for her brother for a little over a moon, watched as her mother completely ignored her, her mother grieved like she'd lost her one and only kit, not just one of them, but Cinderflower was fine with that, because she'd become Stormclan's black hand {if you get the Eragon joke, rock on} she was the tracker when things got rough, she could easily follow someone or track something through even the harshest of conditions, and that was merely because she wasn't afraid to. She knew what she was doing. But, at one point, the deputy of StormClan retired, and they selected her to take his place, she didn't exactly know why, but she was fine with it, it gave her a sense of belonging. And, it reminded her mother that she existed, not like that did much good, it just made her mother lie and say that she'd never stopped loving her, always was watching out for her, never forgot her, but it was all lies, and went in one ear and out the other.
That brings us to today, she stands as Cinderstar, watching, and when times get rough, being the Black Hand again.
